Does someone know the part number for the traction tires for the old 3060 ATSF F unit? Or maybe have 4 they could put in an envelope to send/sell to me? Want to run my new 3060 but she needs those first. Thanks in advance. Mike

According to what I could find, the part number is E220510
https://www.maerklin.de/...r.php?artikelnummer=3060 (Part #12)
It is showing as not available from the factory.

I could not find the wheel size. It may be possible to find a suitable part from Hag or other company if you have the diameter.

I will try to look through my documents to see if I can find the original part number.

I found this listing on eBay.de that mentions 3060: https://www.ebay.de/itm/...d-3181-NEU/401485678292?

According to one source I found, the original tire part number was 7154.
https://www.ebay.de/itm/...4-10-Stuck/401699165603?

I hope that this helps

Regards

Part numbers for rubber tyres, bulbs, pickup shoes, etc are shown in the yearly catalog for which the model appeared in.

For example, this is the spare parts section from the 1971 catalog which clearly shows (as Cookee rightly points out) that 7154 is the correct tyre for locomotive 3060 (Notice, it doen't show bulbs but later ones did).

The 7154 tires are what my California Zephyr and Montreal Limited use, while strangely my Super Chief calls for 7153.

I have not yet found either of those available here in North America, which is more than a bit ironic. BigGrin

I have almost all Märklin and mostly HO, although I do have a small number of Z gauge trains!
So many trains and so little time.

I have to ask... how are you searching? I just did a quick eBay search on "Marklin 7154", 5 hits right away, all in North America.

This one is best value right now - https://www.ebay.com/itm...US-shipping/191347089893

Then I tried Walthers...

https://www.walthers.com...h/result/?q=Marklin+7154 - they show stock, and even cheaper, $4.69 pack of 10

And bear in mind, I'm in New Zealand and I found them in less than a minute.

There are also several top Marklin dealers in the USA regularly mentioned on this forum and I would boldly say it would be impossible that at least one, nay five of them did not have ample stocks of 7154 tyres in stock at this very minute.

For example.... https://www.ajckids.com/products/Marklin/7154 - in stock $4.59 - cheaper again

Hope those links above help ThumpUp

Thanks for that info - I always search with Google, which I have been using almost since it was born.

The other day I searched for all of the traction tires that I currently need and there were some which I did not find. But obviously I did not remember correctly which ones they were. It does make sense that they would be available here, even though most of the Märklin folks I know who collect US trains are from elsewhere in the world. Walthers will be my best choice since they have them in stock.

Jim
