I’m interested in this updated set, which can be found e.g. here:

https://www.modellbahnsh...-de-p-0/ein_produkt.html

However, as this is a DC engine that ”easily can be converted to AC”, I’m a bit curios on performance:

- Wheels in K and C track turnouts?
- Feedback at S88 modules, will all wheels provide feedback?
- Other experience?

I have an SBB RABe503 and a Cisalpino ETR610, for now only one converted to AC
”easily can be converted to AC” means that there is no room for pickup shoe under the engine bogie, you must place it under the first coach and then connect it to the engine using one of the six wires passing through all consist. Four wires are used for lighting, the other two for current pickup from the rear "engine" in the DC model and one of these can be used.
I tested it on C rail of the Märklinfan Club Italia layout (where the picture was taken) without changing wheels and it worked, on the K rails of my layout it's a continuous derailment.

ETR610 on Märklinfan Club Italia layout

The motor has a poor magnetic shielding, then attracting metal debris ..and reed relays.

I have the same model. I had mine converted by the dealer (Roger Suter Meggen). It works relatively well, but has seen very limited time out of the box.
The original model was marketed under the new Lima Expert series. I don't know whether this new model will have the exact same construction or whether there may have been changes in design and electronics.
I probably will wait until the model is out and then try to find the instruction manual and compare it to the one I have before I decide on whether to add this new model to my fleet.

Oh no, I was afraid of something like that Crying

Would be interesting to learn more, once you have it...

I also hope there will be an ”AC wheel” option Blushing

I must partially correct my previous statement, there was a stuck coupler that wasn't moving freely. Now that it's moving freely, derailments continue only on some critical K double switches (2275).
I have to say that also other trains, even with AC wheels, sometimes derail on those switches and I don't understand why.
One critical point, at least in my consist, is that the couplers are too low, touching into center studs on switches. Besides the couplers can be inserted improperly (i.e. misaligned) causing electrical problems.

About AC wheels, the original DC wheels are 10 mm diameter and 23.6 mm axle length. I have not found any AC wheel of this size, the closest is a 10.4 mm diameter, 23.8 mm axle length for Kleinbahn, model number 83 from Benno002-22 on ebay. I tried to insert a 10.4 mm AC axle for Piko but no way, it's too long and plastic of the bogie is stiff. I didn't try to force the axle inside, if the bogie breaks no spare parts.

regards

Actually, they should have different measures:
