I could see Marklin producing models of these to help recover the V320 development costs. Another advantage of doing this is that there were a reasonable number of these built, so they can produce several where the major difference is the road number.

It would also help them break into another market.

The NY7's when they were new:

I believe China Railways ordered them from Henschel because they were mainly deployed on quasi high speed passenger services in the Beijing area
