I have been trying to research where to place signal lights in a train station as well as along the blocks. Is there a reference for this. I have plenty of reference for what the signals look like and their use, just not their placement.

There's a lot of good information in the Marklin signal book.

Signalbook 0340 (English).pdf (1,568kb) downloaded 293 time(s).

Several cases are explained showing the placement of signals at junctions, stations etc...

Mostly Marklin.Selection of different eras and European railways
Small C track layout, control by MS2, 100+ trains but run 4-5 at a time.
