New big layout in Switzerland opened! It's not all done yet and it's fantastic and real! All the buildings are like real and the relief faithfully reflects the reality. Unlike MiWuL where everything is overwhelming strip or a variety of cakes and in the end you no longer know what to look here is the ratio of the strip and the nature around it as in reality. This is a small part of the whole model that will only be completed for several years.

The present part project looks like this  For now, 130 squares are about a kilometer of trains running 80 trains. There will be 15,000 figurines (!) Of 400 autos, 350 facilities and numerous bridges. This is just the first of a total of 5 parts that will cost 1 million Sfr. I recently went to this layout and I too found the environment to be fantastic. I think it's very hard to balance the different aspects of a layout and they did a great job on that. It's not overly stuffed, but it still has enough things for you to "discover". The only thing I found weird was the lighting, I found it be quite focused on certain spots, leaving others noticeably dark. I'm not sure if that's just me, but I never really noticed anything similar anywhere else.
The trains on the other hand were quite disappointing for me as a railfan. I was there for something like two hours and there were 6 trains on the big layout, not all of them being exactly prototypical. I was told that there are still some issues with the trains (That apparently is of the reasons why you currently get like 40% off) and I was they certainly had some very nice prototypical trains - just not on the layout.

I marveled at the high sheets on the left side of the mock-up under construction, watching the latest finished film part of that model will be clear to you! There are more films of that beautiful layout
