Greetings! My name is Mark and this is my first post here on this forum. I am not new to Marklin but new to the digital Marklin. I have been converting my 1965 setup to both analog and digital with mixed results. I have converted to C track and have a MS2 for the few digital locos I own. I was going to run in both analog and digital because I have a lot of analog stuff. I have a couple 74391 signals and I was told I could run these from a 72751 control box connected to a 72760 control box and this box connected to a 66367 power unit via the plug that comes from the 72760. The 72760 is not used for anything except for power to the 72751 control box. I am able to get a green light and the red light on the 74391 signal however the red wire from the signal to the control block has no power at anytime. I was told this setup should work by a Marklin guru, but the instructions on the 72760 say not to hook up a 72751 with it. My question is, has anyone done this? I prefer not to have to purchase new signals because of the expense. I seem to be getting deeper and deeper into my pocket and there is not much there anymore, lol. The 72751 lights up when the buttons are pushed. The red wire is going to the inside of the control block to B. The signals go green/red pushing the button. The loco runs around the track, hits the blocked track and stops. Press the button and nothing happens. Thanks in advance to any and all information you may supply. Mark

Hi, Mark,
I do not see much sense in the setup you are trying.
The 72760 is a simple digital controller for digital signals used on analogue layouts - an encoder that can control four turnout decoders.
The 72751 is an analogue control box for analogue signals without decoders.

To get the signals working, do not use the 72760. You have to feed DC power and track power into the 72751. You may have to make a custom cable for that purpose.
Regards
Tom

Hello HO, thank you for the response. The 72760 was used only for the pigtail to get power from a 66367 power supply that I have. So is it possible to use this power supply and the pigtail, splice the input wires from the 72751 with the pig tail wires and get power that way? Is there something in the 72760 that would not supply power to the 72751 ? The wire cables hook up and I do get power to the lights of the signal but that's all.

I believe I see what I was doing wrong now.. The pigtail that comes with the 72760 should be used with the 72751, and not use the 72760 box at all. Your prior response got me thinking about what I was doing wrong. Again, thank you!
