Hi Marklin Users, This is the track plan of my layout, made with Marklin K-rails. The layout is totally flat, a table track or "Tischbahn" as they say in Germany. I've got several locs without tires so they don't climb. The tracks before the main station are not parallel with the tracks more behind. The entrance door of the room needs space so i used 7/8 circle k-track on the right side of the track. With K-track it is easy to do. There are 3 blocks and 3 signals, the third "before" switch 2260 ( not on the track plan). Two trains can move automatically and keep moving with no ploblem. The choice of which train is moving is done by hand, the switches follow that choice automatically. Signals are also analog automatically. All trains are digital. They are from (old) Marklin, FLM, Liliput, Lima, Kleinbahn and Roco and converted to AC digital. For the track i use a Marklin 6021, for the separate program track a CS1. The main problem with the layout: K-rails are not really reliable connected with each other. Best whishes Leo

If you solder the rails together in sections, and then connect each section to power lines below the table, you should have no connectivity issues. I show some tips here: https://cabin-layout.mixmox.com/2005/07/laying-k-track.html |
