I got from someone a partly build engine shed (Marklin 8981) but unfortunately the building instructions were missing so now I'm struggling with HOW to get the doors to open "automatically". Can anybody shed any lights on this matter or direct me to a site where I can order a replacement for the automation part since it seems I'm missing a 1 or 2 invaluable items from the automatic part I've got.In comparing wtith the model 8980 the part that moves the doors is missing....................

I just searched "Marklin 8983" on German version of the auction site... one seller is offering 3 of these assemblies. I cannot locate a part number for the assembly. |

You might have solved this problem.. but just in case...
Go to the marlin main web site and look for 8983..
Then download the manual/instructions and you will find the shed uses the same hardware and wiring diagram that the 8981 has

I have found the manual , but had no luck in finding a replacement part. I bought a completely build kit instead for a very low price, so the problem is solved. Anyway thanks for your reply to my question.
