I have 4 locomotives, two diesel and two steam with new sound decoders (60976 and 60975). I would like to create a platform announcement in English and add it to one loco. I'd also like to sample some of the Marklin sounds from the Marklin sound library and add appropriate sounds to one locomotive or another. Can this be done with the CS2? If so where can I find the steps involved?

Hi

The only things I know are:
- you need using an active loudspeaker (with amplifier) to connect to the CS2 jack
- you need to provide .wav file on a USB stick
- I am not sure about where to store the file on the USB key. May be /CS2/Sound.
- you may start reading the files manually or from an itinerary (a route)

Bonne chance

Jean

This is much harder to answer.

First have a look there:

https://www.maerklin.de/...3msd3/mdecodertool-mdt3/

https://www.maerklin.de/...oderTool3_A5_Deutsch.pdf

set a tickmark into the grey circle. Then you can load down the software mDT3 for free and a manual for this software. This manual is in German. Come back to your thread here and ask your questions please. I do not know if the software is also in English available, as at a CS 2 or CS 3.

The mDT3 software is for the mSD3 decoders like your 60975 and 60976. By the way, the differecne of these decoders is only the preinstalled sound and this is changeable.

60975 is a steamer, 60976 is a Diesel, 60977 is an electric loco.
