Yeah, it needs to be FAT32. What is the size of your USB stick (in GB)? I have seen some cases where a small USB stick (512 MB) did not work, but a bigger one did.

I thank all of you that have tried to help me.
I’ve done exactly as you wrote both internet and usb (my USB formattated FAT32 is 32 giga), but I haven’t any response from CS3 plus.
I fear that I have to ship in Germany the item and considering the Marklin times, I foresee months without trains..

If there is a fault with the CS3 then should it not be replaced by the dealer. In the UK the seller not the manufacturer is responsible for faulty goods. Depends though on the age of the equipment.
Take care I like Marklin and will defend the worlds greatest model rail manufacturer.

Unfortunately I bought CS3 in a german onlineshop.. so it doesn’t change anything..

Hold down the stop button and one of the throttle buttons at the same time while connected to the internet and it will automatically do an update.
