I have just installed a newly purchased Viessmann level crossing (item 5104). The model is a beautiful fully functional level crossing with barrier, and comes with both full DCC and MM support. The unit is smooth in operation and works well. I have programmed the unit using my CS2 and can operate the crossing using DCC. All works well.
However I am wanting to adjust the finishing height of both barriers as they seem to only open to approx. 60 degrees, and ideally I would like them closer to 90 degrees. The closing position is prefect.
My question is basically, does anyone have useful knowledge on how to adjust the finishing height of the barrier arm...? Unfortunately the supplied documentation doesn't cover adjustments . I was assuming that there might be some sort of CV that could be configured .?, but with no information I am only guessing..!
If any modeller has installed one of these it would be good to know how adjustments can be made.

Mnay Thanks
Steve

This rather stupid video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNhXvfPUXHs clearly shows that the barrier arm is intended to rise to the vertical position.

I would be very surprised if the angle was adjustable via a cv but I suspect that you have a mechanical issue. I do not have one of these barriers but are the arms controlled by a standard Viessmann under-board drive unit? If so you may find that the length of travel of the drive is being impeded in some way. I suggest you have a look underneath and see if there is something stopping the wire moving for its full length.

If they are servo controlled, is the right whole on the servo arm, or the right servo arm installed?
If its a simple motor with end-shut-off, is it triggering prematurely?
Is it binding somewhere? I agree that it is likely a mechanical issue.

Thanks guys.
Just back home from being away... took a closer look at the mechanical operation to the barrier arm and all look pretty good. Then took one of the barriers out and rechecked the solenoid operation on the work bench .it also looked ok. So reinstalled the whole system and retested , and now works prefectly ..... go figure! Must of being some foreign material jamming the travel of the arm.
I’m not sure what the problem was, but at least I am now releaved that everything seems to be working correctly ... at least for now!
