Hi. This is the first video I have for a digital event programmed with the CS3. Please note that only the 37763 DB red railcar is programmed for

the event. The other Loks are running normally with CS3 in block operation. It has been programmed to depart main station, continue uphill

to the Schwarzburg town station, reverse and return to main station on the lower level. Peter.

Awesome Pete.

I look forward to hearing more of your CS3 learning experiences, as I will hopefully be in a similar mode later this year. BTW, have you considered hosting another get together for our DC Metro Area Märklin friends? It would be great to see you and the others.

Regards,

Rob

Hi Rob. Good to hear from you. Glad you enjoyed the video. Yes, the events are not perfect as the Marklin digital people told me but I did play around

with the event quite a lot before it was near perfect. One has to go back and edit speeds, etc. The railcar unit returned downhill to the main station

and stopped about 30cm past from where it started out. So, before the event start button is pressed again I have to "pull up" to the start location in the

station track. Yes, another get-together would be fun. Cheers, Peter Cool

Hi Peter - nice video as always.

It,s fun you using the event in the CS, it have not being mention so much in the forum I think. I have played around with it a long time and like it a lot. Yes the trains will miss the stop point if you do not have any feedback from the track because it run on time and the speed can be different every time.

I have no feedback on my layout but I have found a lot of different ways to use the events and it,s so simple to use, thanks to the recorder.

Many of my locomotives has a start up procedure before living the station or BW. Mechanical test and start(sound), fuel filling, moving from a siding to station track, station info in my own language and ready to go. This actions can take several minutes.

The same for steamers in BW, a lot of actions for coal and water filling (sound and movements)before it stop before main line and waiting for signal.

Shunters pick up cars on one siding and deliver to another track. All telex coupler have uncouple procedure. As long as the distance are not too long it will hit the stop point very well.

Old decoders without surround sound - make an event. ( I use LS DCC now for bigger selection of sounds)

When event are made you only have to find a unused function button for the specific locomotive functions and connect it. I write down all the events numbers and what they do for every locomotive and where it have to stay before you push the event button.

I use my I phone to record Norwegian speech and send the M4a file to Zamzar who make a Wav file out of it.

People who run by a PC and have a program for it maybe think this is a bit amateur but ok, I like the CS3 events and it is only your imagination who are the limit.

Happy eastern and have fun. BigGrin

Hi Torstein.

Thanks for your input and recommendations. Yes, it is fun to play around with. My next one will be with the LH Airport Express. I will make that video

soon. It has quite a few sounds in the sequence of running so it should be interesting.

Cheers, Peter. ThumpUp Smile
