Hello all,

I will be on vacation in Spain (Madrid and Valencia), and I would like to know if there are any Märklin layouts (or by other brands) that I could visit there.

I have already been to the Madrid Railway Museum on a previous visit. They do have an impressive collection of 1:1 massive RENFE electric locomotives, and a H0 layout as well.

Best regards,
Armando García

Hi Armando,

My other Spaniards colleagues will inform you about Madrid.

If you take the AVE (ICE, Spanish version) to Barcelona, just 3 hours, then I can recommend you some visits in the surroundings:

- Spanish National Museum in Vilanova i la Geltru (with even more 1:1 Renfe locomotives than in Madrid Museum, and you can reach by train):

Here you are two layouts. They are about 60 km away Barcelona but not close one to other, thus you should go by car because it's not easy by public transport. I liked both.

Hope this helps. If you need further information, let me know.

Thank you, Santi.
I have already visited, on a previous trip to Barcelona and environs, the Museum in Vilanova e la Geltru. They have one of the most amazing collection of Spanish steam locomotives arranged for display around a turntable and locomotive shed. This visit is a must for any train enthusiast.
Best regards,
Armando García
