Hello,
at this point would like to introduce the beautiful E10 Rheingold.
The paint and the driving characteristics in digital mode are perfect. At speed 1, sneaking is also possible via switches without dropouts. The gearbox is very quiet.
Märklin has even replicated the buffer pile in detail, as in the last old Märklin BR 110 and BR 140, so that it also suits to newer models on the layout (Märklin apparently listens to suggestions for improvement).
The machine room windows are no longer fixed with plastic adhesive, but with double-sided adhesive tape.
Furthermore, Märklin has the stairs attached to the Drehgestellrahmen. Märklin has installed the spring plate E220300 for optimal weight loss.
TheDrehgestellrahmen are not intended for the NEM shaft (see pictures). So you have to order the new Drehgestellrahmen of the 30345.

Conclusion:
Märklin has launched a very nice variant of the old Märklin BR 110, which has been waiting for decades and has been made possible by a high precision in the production very good driving characteristics without loud noises of the transmission.
Märklin is welcome to use more E10 / BR 110 and E40 / BR 140 based on the 30390.

I also purchased the loco and coach set. Haven't had a chance to run the coaches but the engine is great! Will have more time to play with my trains this month and next since my semester just ended and I found out I passed my PhD qualifying exam, woot! :)

Thank you for the review and great photos!

Thanks Baggio, but I don't have my degree just yet. I still have about two more years of research and dissertation writing. The qualifying exam is just one of many steps required in earning a PhD.
