Hello all, A while back I purchased a 3092 Lok: Used, excellent condition with smoke unit. The Lok is great but I think that the smoke unit is fried because it would only puff for a short time compared to the rest of my steam fleet. This was my first experience with the smaller smoke unit. All my other Loks were equipped with the Seuthe #10 which puff for quite a long time. Since then I bought several more of these Loks without smoke. I am in the process of getting together a spare parts order (sliders, brushes, etc) and I am not sure whether I should get the units for the small chimney Loks. My question is: What is the run time comparison: small vs.#10 units? Will I be disappointed? Is Seuthe still around and if so what is the part number of the small units? Thanks, Mikey |
I love the smell of smoke fluid in the morning . |

Mikey, no you shouldn't be disappointed, they may look small but have a considerable reservoir, your problem is either:
1.) the contact (either from the contact flap or from the metal chimney 2.) the pipe is blocked up 3.) it has been filled with to much smoke fluid

John Thank you John, I checked all the above and I really think it's kaput. I filled a #10 unit level to the top and it took 13 drops. Now I need to find out how many drops can the smaller unit take? I normally run them with 7-9 drops. Mikey |
