I rode in the OBB Cityjet in Salzburg on my way to the Treff and now I want to add that to my collection. I went to the 2017 Jagerndorfer catalog and saw several models. I want AC with sounds. The catalog is in German. I have attached the pages from the catalog. Can anyone tell me the differences between 18302, 18402, 17402, 17502 and 17602? Thank you.

When you look at the pdf file you see 4 different versions:

1.) DC with 21 pin decoder
2.) AC with 21 pin decoder
3.) DC with sound
4.) AC with sound

you also have 4 columns:

1st column: catalogue number
2nd column: production type
3rd colums: DC or AC operation
4th column: available date

the numbers you have quoted:

all of these are: high end production type, AC with sound

18402 will be released in 8/2017, the others 01/2017, 02/2017, 03.2017 respectively

all have light change over, high beam, interior lights with 1 power car and a 21 pin sound decoder (most probably ESU)

I'm not overwhelmed by Jägerndorfer locos, they are a bit light (Rh 1063)

regards.,

Thank you John for your reply. Besides the different release dates, what are the differences between the models I picked? They all look the same on the catalog.Confused

The only differences I see are:

The number of doors in the end units - 18302 and 18402 have one set of doors, 17402, 17502, 17602 have two sets of doors.
The 17xxx models have three sets of interchangeable destination boards.

Other than that I can't see any difference between the two 18xxx models themselves nor between the three 17xxx models. Maybe it is the road numbers?

18302 - 4744.001
18402 - 4744.003
17402 - 4746.003
17502 - 4746.012
17602 - 4746.019

Thank you for the information. I can see the doors are different between the 18XXX and 17XXX series. Other than that, my old eyes can't tell anymore. It would be nice to find a destination plate of Salzburg. That is where I took the train.

there are 3 extra destination plates for each train but it doesn't mention the names (17402, 17502, 17602)

Other options might be Roco or Piko.

There are as mentioned before 3 destination signs, Volkersdorf, Graz & Linz,

the producer of this video is very impressed with this model and said the details are amazing, his model has sound (ESU M4) (mfx), interior lights.
cab light & high beam / end marker lights, apparently Jägerndorfer was givern the first option from the ÖBB to reproduce this City Jet as a model, interior is also 1st class, the motor is in the section of the rail car without the pantograph and the motor sits within the interior but the windows hiding the motor.
