Hi all,
I'll be spending some time in New York next week. Since I live in a very small town this is my chance to do some big model train shopping. Could anyone advise me where are the best (largest) places for Marklin products in New York? Many thanks!

Hi,
Well there is only one Marklin dealer in New York City that I have found. That may surprise you for this large city. It is located on W.45th Street and the name, I believe, is The Red Caboose. It is downstairs in the basement. A lot of Marklin and other brands.
There is another train store directly across the street on the second floor. They have some Marklin but I don't believe that they are an official Marklin dealer.
There are other dealers that I have heard of outside of NYC but I have never visited them.

The dealer across the street on W.45th is called I think Manhattan Trains and I don't know whether they're an official Marklin dealer but they have a great Marklin collection including many used older loks and cars in excellent condition. They also have lots of spare parts. Both stores are real finds.

There is a place in Brooklyn called the Laughin Giraffe at 234 court street. But I don't know really anything about them I stumbled upon them by acccident. Give them a try.
