Dear All I am after a resent Marklin model to buy and finding it hard to come by. It is the 37349 Helvetia RE 4/4 11 SBB in TEE colours issued in 2014. I actually had the loco and bought it new, however someone stole it, still have the box though. I have tried on eBay de, many venders are not selling outside Germany now. Does anyone know why this is, probably paperwork etc for foreign sales. If anyone knows another place I can get one of these models in as new condition in Germany I would be very greatful. Regards Bryan

modellbahn collectors in the US have it, pricey though: http://www.modellbahn.com/forsale.swiss.htmlYou might get one cheaper if it comes up on ebay. Alternatively you could buy the Roco 78401, it's for Marklin AC with sound. |

I got it back in 2014 from Holland dealer. Now different to find one for you. The issue is between yellow and red lining, see 3rd pictures but I am happy with it. |

Regards Bryan Your choices for a Maerklin Re 4/4II TEE would be the original 37343 (11161), the 37349 (11252) or a converted Trix 22148 (11250). All of these models can from time to time be found on sites like ebay.de, ricardo.ch or at dealers (old stock). There is also the option of Roco's 78400/78401 (11158) or 79373 (11160) or Hag's 216 (various numbers). I have all three of the Maerklin/Trix models, both of the Roco ones and one of the Hag loks. Visually, I find the Roco is the best reproduction of the actual locomotive. I run the Roco loks with exact scale TEE coaches (TEE Roland) and TEE Helvetia (assorted Lima, Roco and Piko coaches) I run the Maerklin/Trix Loks with my 28cm TEE Roland (Trix 23477), TEE Helvetia (43854) and with other trains (post TEE) I run the Hag lok with my 27cm TEE Helvetia (42991) Set Expect a PM from me. Dear Mike C and Steventrain Thank you both for your posts and I think I now have one of these models. I particularly like this 37349 Swiss TEE model and was very disappointed to find an empty box 3 months ago. I have thus spent the last 3 months trying to find another and it now looks like it.
I enjoy this Marklin users site very much, it is so well run and a mine of information. A thank you to all who make it happen.
