Hello everybody
I was wondering if somebody would know or has experience if I could use Transformers from MTH and Lionel (analog) to run Marklin HO analog? Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Happy Model Railroading

Robert

As long as the output voltage is not greater than the maximum output voltage acceptable for Maerklin you should be fine. However, you are going to have a problem reversing the locos since these transformers will not have the reverse pulse voltage provision that a Maerklin transformer has.

In North American trade shows and even at some dealers they usually use a Lionel transformer to check the function of a Maerklin analog loco.
