Does having a 124 page PDF file of the German version of MM 03/2017 qualify as being first to get the magazine?? It will be interesting to compare that against the English magazine (normally 60 pages) when it arrives. Looks like there is also a Gauge 1 Special with the magazine this edition.

There is a lot more advertising in the German version, and there does appear to be other articles or information that doesn't appear in the other languages.

I informed my US club focal to deliver me the German language versions of the magazine and the DVDs (PAL of course). For me it was to get the content as intended, knowing the sometimes sketchy translations they do, and I could not stomach watching another Märklin internal video spoken in English, it was driving me (as dual language fluent) crazy. So I'm in the USA club, but get German versions of the Magazine & DVD. I would expect you might be able to switch if you ask - they should be able to do that. |

Got my German version of Marklin Magazin 03/2017 today,122 pages plus Spur 1 special 11 pages.
Most interesting for me this time:
H0 layout design on page 64 to 70,dimensions 280 x 120 cm (2.8 x 1.2 mtrs),nice design on a small surface.
Digital startset 29400 with electric loco series DB 140.
On backpage 36245 (Eurotrain) steamer Deutsche Reichsbahn series 24 in black/grey photo colors (compare with Primex 30031).
No big surprises,on page 40 the new 39753 steamer 75.4. |

Received both the Marklin Insider and Trix Proficlub English magazines today.
Interestingly someone commented on the postage origin - these were London, so the bulk freight was brought across the Channel before going into the postal system.
Back cover of the Marklin Magazine is an advert for Schuco vehicles in Marklin livery.

Insider pack arrived today. No 1 Gauge supplement though, which disappoints me no end! Is anyone able to scan the German version and post it here? Many thanks if you can.

The bloody thing finally arrived today.. The score so far is 3:0 - sigh Interestingly, there is no post mark, but on the rear of the envelope I see: DLC 992-1 22:42 21/06/2017 and on the front DLC 992-2 00:14 22/06/2017 It is 23/06/2017 today.. I will ask the question of my Aussie Post friend to see if it is something that they do.. It might also be some Border Control thing.. The only other mark on the envelope is an Australia Post barcode.. On both sides of the envelope next to the two texts.. I am starting to wonder if the Australian magazines are sent in bulk to a place in Australia, where they are then distributed - like seems to be done with North America. Does anyone have a secret contact within Marklin's distribution area that might be able to shed light on this one? |

Hi all If I followed well the post, the magazine Insider is in the number 3 I have only received 1/2017. No professionalism from Marklin ....On the other hand they are very fast to take the money. I will cancel for 2018 Thewolf |

For those in the USA, I asked and was told they just got the magazines in (freight via plane, so space is hit-and-miss in the summer) on June 30.. so the US deliveries should be showing up in a week at folk's mailboxes. |

And FINALLY - the (what I assume) is the 2017/3 edition of the magazines as arrived on July 17th, 2017. No thanks in large part to the crappy US Postal Service, particularly the Puget Sound offices which are inept to the extreme. Friday found a pink pickup slip in my collector mailbox. So I go to the post office that is indicated on the slip to find out, no the item isn't at that post office but a different one, the employees just appear to be using the wrong slip pads with the wrong post office on it to make deliveries. Go the next post office.. and they have it (slightly torn envelope of course). And lo- the thing never should have required a slip to begin with - its a basic priority mail envelope that the carrier should have either 1) put in the mailbox that had plenty of space for it, or 2) put on my stoop at the house (which cause 'merica, is down the street from the collector mailbox we are forced to now use) I can only say again, that if you want something actually delivered TO a person in the USA, do not, under any circumstance rely on the US Postal Service. Its really just playing a lottery - you pay for shipping and hope for the best at getting items delivered at some point around the delivery expected date or within weeks after that date. Update: now that I was able to look through it last night, the shipment contained: (I requested the German versions from Märklin USA ) 1) Insider Magazine 2017/3 2) Scale 1 insert (it was inside of the Insider Magazine and not visible till I happened to find it in there, its not bound in, and can be removed 3) The usual info page, order form for 2nd insider stuff 4) Advertising for a dutch car and freight provider. 5) Summer 2017 new items catalog 6) Foldout poster on the Robel model. 7) DVD video - have not watched it yet but it is labeled in English. Edited by user 18 July 2017 22:13:10(UTC)
| Reason: added details on what was in the shipment |

After some of my prior comments, I will make the observation that I think the 4/2017 Marklin Magazin articles are a lot more "readable" |

I can't remember when we last had rain. And it is 31C today in winter! It seems that it was hotter on this date in 2009 and even hotter in 1946.. Anyway the package arrived late again today. That makes the score 4:0 - our worst result yet.. Those East Islanders are going to be insufferable.. |
