Hi Marklin friends, Today I would like to share a recent addition to the large gauge collection. A clockwork train in Gauge 1 that is fully functioning! It's an American train, the loco doesn't have a cow catcher but there are 3 American cars: Congressional Limited center coach (passenger), a PRR baggage car, and a Standard Oil tanker car. Turn up the volume to hear the clockwork sounds! I am slowly getting into the larger gauges of Marklin. I cannot imagine what it would be like seeing a Gauge 1 train like this steaming down the tracks: https://rover.ebay.com/r...725621087%26rmvSB%3DtrueBest, Paul |

Hi Paul,
Nice trains! The loco looks like a 1021B to me - could you post a few pictures? And yes, I have been bitten by the tinplate "bug" too - I own some Hornby O gauge trains and am waiting for another to arrive!

Hi Peter, Thank you I believe you are correct, it's identical to this loco here: https://new.liveauctione...0-tender-locomotive-handMine is in better shape luckily - not sure what a tender would look like for this loco I think there are several variants. Best, Paul |

Hi Paul, Now that I've seen that picture, it looks a lot more like a 1021BN - you can see one which includes the tender below: https://modeltraincollec...klin-1021-bn-locomotive/Regards Peter |
