I did noticed few models like insider BR 18 and Orient express do have DCC protocol for the three rail too.
I wonder if Märklin this time will present new digital locomotives also use with DCC protocol in the news 2017?
It would be nice for those other who use digital system with only DCC protocol like Lenz digital Plus.
It´s also an plus to use both two and three rail by use same protocol.
I hope so...

Just arrive my new Challenger #39911 and came with the same digital protocol first mfx+/DCC/MM with this order of action. It seems that DCC pass in front of MM

The #39952 VT95.9 came with the same decoder...

Any of the recent locos (well the more expensive ones anyway, starter sets are something else) will be coming out with the mld/3 or msd/3 decoders, and we know these all do DCC as well.

The same goes for Trix and LGB.

P.S. both of my LAG 194 come with all three protocols, and come with identical MM addresses.

No DCC symbol shown for some locos like 36655, 29184, 39054, 49966, 36194, 36191, 29474, ...

Maybe those will have DCC as an "undocumented feature", maybe those are used to get rid of older decoders.

Tom

I would like a way to search for M locos that come with mLD/3 or mSD/3 decoders. I've tried Google, but the results are pretty useless. If anybody has a suggestion, I would be very happy to hear it.

Regards,

Bill

Hi Bill. How about trying Märklin's contact page. They speak English there. I've gotten answers from them many times. Cheers & good luck, Peter. Cool

Hi Peter,

Thanks! I just put in a request on their contact page. I'll post their reply if the information is helpful.
