OK, now we're talking....

And right here down-under.

$1800?, it's probably not far off for what it is. You'll look a very long time for another. And no reserve.

This'll get the serious collectors into a spin. And with the upper rotating motif in English as well.

Hi Cookee,

The starting price is not a bargain, but at least fair in my view. The model has been very popular. I know about a dozen which have survived in complete shape. And some additional sets of the unique parts only used in that wheel.

I made this video ten years ago:

And this is the official picture, after 1956 it was "0100":

How does this work, item just closed short time ago, got passed in at $1800 no bids.

So seller relists it for $1850. Now it's dearer. Perhaps it's a reverse auction, the more times it has to be relisted the higher it is??

I'm curious Markus, if one of these came up in Deutschland, what would be a fair price?

It does not look 'mint', and would need close inspection to see if anything is chipped or damaged so let's pick one in say VG condition.

Have you seen them on ebay.de?

MfG

Hi Cookee,

There have been some on ebay.de, but the last I remember was about a decade ago. The complete ones I know have been sold directly between collectors at prices ~1200-2000 EUR. I sold an incomplete one (missing the lightbox, all bulbs, most of the bulb-holders and the sign on the base) in bad condition some years ago for 500,-- EUR to a friend (incl. friiendship-discount). He restored it to perfect condition and also rebuilt the light-box. That one was shown at the Gaggenau - shows.
BTW: The cover and the base of the light-box are parts originally used on the 0-gauge turntable.

Regards

Markus
