Hi , I have a Marklin Z scale 0-6-0 loco which has the number Db 89006 on it's cab side and I am trying to locate a source of supply for the pickups that go to the wheels , I have found and fitted new motor brushes but I cannot locate the pickups even on the Marklin site as the number Db 89006 brings no results , the pickups are copper or appear to be and are shaped like a letter T and they locate in a V groove on the Locos chassis , any help with this would be gratefully received as i've spent 3 days searching and got nowhere .

The Marklin productnumber for the loco is in fact 8800.
The number DB 89006 is just the cabinnumber,it means number 6 of loco series 89.
The exploded view with partnumbers can be found on the Marklin site.
The part you are looking for seems to be 26 023,the loco has two of them.

Paul Hi Paul and thank you for the welcome and the info , I have located the loco in Marklins parts lists and agree that the items I need are 2 off 26023 they are called schleiferfeder but on entering this number 26023 the results show 2 items neither of which appear to be 26023 in that the parts numbers do not match and neither is called schleiferfeder ?.

I see what you mean,the Marklin database seems to be wrong.
The partcode 26023 is correct,it clearly shows on the exploded view drawing.
Schleiferfeder (German) freely translated means Sleeperspring.
Now you only have to find them on sale! |

They will now have a number that starts with an 'E' (to denote spare part) and it is probably a six or eight digit number.

Probably the part is no longer available from the factory,but perhaps it is still available in Marklin shops. |

I'll try and find a Marklin shop in Germany that does Z spares and see how I get on , thank you for trying to help , I appreciate it .

Thank you zscalehobo I have found them now with your E part number but it say's they are unavailable , I will try some German dealers and if not then it's looking like an online trip across the Pond .

Many times, even though an item is unavailable as a spare part, it might still be available for repairs and they might make an exception if you catch them on a good day. Hi Mike , I tried the email to Marklin and got a very fast response , they say that they have no stock and cannot give a date for when they will , I can't make head or tail of APC's site but not speaking German does'nt help and Ritters only hold stocks of HO and O , i've tried all the outlets that i've used in Germany in the past for my N gauge layout and none of them can help so I think my best bet is Zscale hobo , i'll have a look at usps.

Perhaps forum members going to Eurospoor in Utrecht could find a set for you there,the fair has lots and lots of spareparts on offer.
I might go there myself,be it i have no budget left for nice Marklin stuff this year....... |

I want to thank everyone for their help you've all been really great and i'm much indebted to you all , I have now had a further email from Marklin stating that the item will be in stock with them again in December so it's not a long time to wait .
