Hi All
I have just acquired 3 non runners 3021 V200, 3065 V60 and 3553 BR120. I need to find some of the older parts to restore these items. Does any one have a good source of old parts so that I can restore these beauties?
Kind regards Adrian

Hi Adrian,
Well, it depends what you are trying to achieve, and what is wrong with the locos. They may just need servicing!
Those locos are all quite readily available on the second-hand market, so parts can be found.
The 3021 came in many versions, with different motor parts. And the 3553 has "5 star" propulsion, so its motor is much less common than the others.
Do you just want to make the locos run, or do you want to "restore" them to original condition?
We need more detailed information from you before giving you a definitive answer!
Best wishes,
Nigel |

Best wishes,
Nigel Thank you Nigel. All three have mechanical issues but I am confident with a bit of TLC that can be made to run again. As you say a service will probably solve that. I am more looking at the cosmetics. I am not looking for a total restoration. 3021, this is one of the early versions with the reversing lever through the chassis. I am looking for a coupling hook, a light diffuser and the pan that fits under the chassis. 3065, I am looking for a replacement roof 3553 needs a replacement buffer bar and 4 new buffers. That's it for the moment, any pointers greatly appreciated Adrian

Adrian From German eBay: Here are some 3021 parts. Try and make sure they match your particular version of the 3021: 3021 floor pan3021 coupler3021 light diffuserThere are many versions of the 3065 roof! Here's a couple: 3065 roof 13065 roof 2I haven't found anyone selling the 3553 parts, but for reference the buffer beam is part number 227200, and the individual buffers are 227240. The buffers are available now from Märklin, but I'm not sure about the buffer beam. I hope this helps! Best wishes, Nigel PS I found a buffer beam for the 3553!: 3553 buffer beamAnd here's a complete chassis, with buffers: 3553 chassis |
