Funny, the posties horse just pulled up outside my place this afternoon with the MM in his satchel. It seems the timing is a bit random. Good to see there is finally some guidance in English on the use of the mSD3 programmer!

....... Finally... I get it before anyone else.... Yes Adrian, I think the Marklin office has this random destination generator that is used for posting the articles. So Australia got first this time. Or maybe it is a little more planned, by rotation, so that once in a while we think we are being looked after. regards Kimball |

Hey Kimball, I managed to get a photo smuggled out of Germany that shows the Insider Freight Forwarding Instrument (IFFI). I think that we might have some insight as to the problem here.. |

Well the postie is running late down here in Newcastle compared to other places in Oz . Just received 2016 / 3 on the front door step . Looks like there may be a order on a couple of the overstock museum wagons for the ones that I failed to order earlier enough .
Cheers Tom in Oz , cold & gloomy outside with winter being a bit savage compared to other years or maybe Im just getting older with more time on my hands .

Hi all, Sorry if this is off-topic, but my internet connection took a full 2 minutes and 55 seconds to download the 4/2016 PDF version of the Insider News. My speed here is around 20 MBPS. Is that the normal download time for others?

The resulting download speed would also depend on the uploading speed of Marklin's web server and connection, so having a faster connection than you may not make any difference.

05/2016 arrived today. With today's rain, the package envelope got a bit wet, but fortunately the contents were dry! Along with the Insider and Marklin magazines, there's the Fall 2016 New Items in English, the MHI train stories pamphlet, and a brochure about the new Challenger loco. The MM has articles about the Challenger, the CS3, and a 'How to' on using the decoder programmer.

My Trix Proficlub 05/2016 arrived today in the UK. I'm figuring I'll probably have the Insider on Monday.
Similar contents to the Insider package mentioned above except without the train stories leaflet.

Well it arrived here today. I spoke to the Aussie Pot people and they confirmed that it is the Border Security/Control people on a "go slow". Apparently, it is playing havoc with the mail delivery in Australia.. Instead of coming in a steady stream, it is coming in bursts.. Some days the mail centres are quiet and on the days where they are normally quiet (like Fridays) they are overwhelmed by incoming mail. My guess is the Government doesn't care because it looks like an Australia Post problem and they are still looking for excuses to shut the whole thing down.. Sigh! My guess is that it will all blow up at Christmas time, when Australia Post is forced to point the finger at the true culprits.. The end result is those East Islanders easily won this round, but there is still one more for this year.. |

You need to employ more NZer,s Adrian. That the problem.
BD. In Adrian's case , the Aussies charge their people too much to post out of their country. [ We probably get ripped off as well though in the same respect ]

The insider 05/2016 along with the 2016-2017 catalog arrived in the 13 colonies + 37 on Nov 14, 2016.
Sure nice to have the catalog before Christmas. Better yet, all was delivered to the door, by my friendly USPS man. Best delivery service in town.
Hope everyone gets theirs soon, if not already received.
Best Regards, gene

The Insider 05/2016 along with the 2016-2017 Catalog arrived in Canada today: Came from Marklin USA and cost them $24 US to ship 3lb 8oz (1.6kg) of paper, but I'm not complaining! Now to sit back and enjoy. Harold.

Mine might be in the letter box then (Some of us do have to work). I know that NZ Post did say that they were swamped with parcels over the Christmas period and there might be some delivery delays.
I thought it had arrived on Tuesday as there was a big white envelope in the mailbox, but it was something else.
Don't know how you can say you're the winner when the GB folks have already got theirs. 'The first loser' might be a more apt description!

It's not about the Poms.. They are only 1,000km from Berlin.. They should get the parcel the next day.. It's a contest between Australia and New Zealand.. You know, like the Cricket, football and Olympics.. |

Well done Adrian. In this season of goodwill, here in the rather shaky isles we rejoice with you and salute your achievement, noting that your rare victory is of course one to cherish in the years to come. Also suitable for this festive season when the craft beer is flowing, we would say; Cheers or Gesondheid or Na zdravi or Proost or Yamas or Slainte or Cin cin or Salud or ........... Good on ya mate!
