The delivery status by the Märklin official papers is a bit abysmal - "not in stock" can mean that a first batch is delivered to dealers, or that it isn't available any more at all... Usually a second run is made to fulfil the existing orders for special/news/one-time items, even if it may take up to a year to do that... The Märklin PDF:s show the estimated first batch delivery dates, but if a model is popular - deliveries can take a while since they will have to make a second run. Dealers receive models to estimated sales orders submitted to Märklin, and usually the first production batch does not fill all those orders... I really appreciate the efforts by steventrain to keep us up to date with latest news regarding deliveries!
