Hi Dan,
No, the Märklin 60760 motor/decoder set will not fit, the motor uses the 60943 SFCM upgrade kit with decoder sold separately.
Cheers, Gordon

Cheers, Gordon Hi Gordon, I have several SFCM powered loks and I have wondered how they run with the upgrade kit and a new decoder. Do you have any experience with how that upgrade turns out? |
Regards,
Jim
I have almost all Märklin and mostly HO, although I do have a small number of Z gauge trains!
So many trains and so little time. |

Hi, In my experience it has been definitely worthwhile, especially with the heavier sfcm locomotives. After conversion they run smoother and quieter and have much better slow speed performance particularly with the mLD and Lokpilot decoders. I have found this to be the case with the other types as well (DCM & LFCM). Cheers, Gordon

Hey Bob - it's been a while. I have done a couple of DCM 5 pole upgrades with Marklin decoders and one with an ESU decoder. Nice to know that the SFCM upgrade works well and I am becoming a big fan of the ESU decoders, which you recommended to me a while ago. I have also found that doing the upgrades is a lot of fun and let's me bring my older loks up to modern performance levels - a win/win! I still have a lot to learn but I am making progress. |
Regards,
Jim

Hi!
A bit off topic: the leading 5 of class 515 indicates it is an accumulator-powered electric rail car - no diesel. |
Regards Tom --- "In all of the gauges, we particularly emphasize a high level of quality, the best possible fidelity to the prototype, and absolute precision. You will see that in all of our products." (from Märklin New Items Brochure 2015, page 1) ROFLBTCUTS |

As a triebwagen nut, I have considered buying a 3076, but Marklin never did an era 3 version. When released in 1970, it had the class number 515 between the windows near the cab. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/DB_Class_ETA_150 |
Matt Era 3 DB lokos, coaches and freight cars from across Europe But I do have the obligatory (six) SBB Krocs ECoS 50200, all FX and MFX decoders replaced with ESU V4s, operated in DCC-RailCom+ with ABC brake control. With the exception of the passenger wagens with Marklin current conducting couplers, all close couplers have been replaced with Roco 40397. |
