I don't believe that layout was ever built. The design is included in Model Railroad Planning 1996. At the time Mike was still living in an apartment. While his editors were asking for designs of larger layouts that were condensed to fit a bedroom, they asked Mike to create an expanded version of his for the same space. I'm guessing this plan was hypothetical only, and when Mike finally got the space he needed, he went straight to the layout Brandon posted at the beginning of the thread.
