Hi friends, Here´s a "How to" clean wheels & slider, check and replace the rubber tires, disassemble and make motor clening/maintenace of Märklin locomotives. The tutorial includes both AC-locomotives, DELTA- and the different generations of DIGITAL locomotives. A "first stop" problem-solver if your Märklin locomotives are stopping without reason, not starting, going too fast (strong) or too slow (weak). Hope you like it and find it informative. |

Another great video Martin!
These will also be very helpful for newbies in the hobby.
Even though lubrication can be a bit of a hot topic, I think video would have benefitted for showing where to lubricate the first loco you did and how little of oil is required.
Got a feeling that many newbies end up over oiling their locos and create more damage than good...

Brgds Lasse Hi Lasse! Thank you for feedback! :) Your point is good and valid.. Maybe add a scene lubricating only the motor plate/rotor axis with a tiny amount of oil. Then leaving the rest out.. We all know how it is... Märklin recommendation in the manual is, in my opinion over-lubrication. This leads to dirty tracks and problems. So.. How to make a tutorial? I didn't want to make any other recommendation than what Märklin does. I didn't really want to recommend the lubrication suggested by Märklin either.. So.. It ended up with just a short reminder to lubricate before use and a short reference to the manual.. I'm trying to be both politically correct and not too far out in practical either.. In this forum we know the better way... :) |

Thanks for sharing! Maybe now I even dare to do some cleaning myself instead of sending it to my dealer... We'll see :)
