Hi Everyone
I am planning a trip to Switzerland in April, I will be stopping in Chur, Geneva, Andermatt and Luzern.
Could anyone recommend any good Marklin stockists in those places, I will be travelling on the Bermina, William Tell and Glacier Express, hopeful I will find something interesting along the way!

Suter is in meggen, about a 15 minute bus ride from the Verkershaus (another must see!) in Luzern. Well worth the trip.
Also, in Zurich you have Zuri Tech right by the train station, and Roundhouse which is a 15 minute tram away. Both are great, but roundhouse is incredible.
There are others, but those are my three favorites... |

Shop Away! http://homepage.hispeed.ch/unholz/page3/shops.htmlThanks to Stefan for putting together this list. My favourite shops are (in no particular order): Roger Suter (Meggen) Zuri-Tech (Zurich) Barp Tech (Winterthur) Bercher und Sternlicht (Basel) Zuba Tech (St. Gallen) Bahnorama (Bern) Eyro (Interlaken) by appointment Buehler (Interlaken) Roundhouse (Zurich) Tram 14 from Bahnhof or S-Bahn to Zurich-Wiedikon Messingers (Luzern) Brass and more Bolier (Geneva) Molard (Geneva) Born (Rapperswil on Lake of Zurich) (they make models) Generally, Maerklin items are more expensive in Switzerland than in Germany, so keep your eyes out for Export Models and other special items that might not be readily available in other countries. Those ones are worth the extra cost. Regards Mike C

Hi Mike Many thanks for the list. I have found that Swiss Model Shops, because of the pound Swiss franc exchange rate are the same or cheaper than German shops, the real killer is the postage cost in Switzerland.

There is a nice size shop in the old town square in the north west corner at Chur . For memory the train section was upstairs .

The dealer at Chur is Schläpfer at Kornplatz (also included in my shop list). Some of the stock is downstairs, some on display in showcases along the stairs upwards. However, "pharmacy prices", as our saying here goes... With regard to Mike's listing, I generally agree with him but would have added Amiba in Wetzikon and Wemoba in Pieterlen. Barp-Tech at Winterthur is no longer worth a visit.
