For Japanese fans this new HO scale Bullet Train from Kato Two more loco offerings from Jägerndorfer And some excellent looking silo wagons from NME (Nuremburger Modell Eisenbahnen) they also come in Wascosa Livery. I do not own any items from this company but having held the wagons they look nice and solid and the detailing looks great. Edited by user 04 February 2016 01:44:04(UTC)

During the rounds at the show I came across a small French manufacturer of landscaping items - Microrama, he had some interesting items which may be of interest to some on the site. The link to his website is hereIn keeping with the landscaping theme, some items on display from Joswood, not sure they are new but they look great, but can also be expensive; And then a nice piece of trackside maintenance apparatus from Kleinspoor And the offerings of ViTrains |

On Proses stand (Proses are part of Bachmann Group) some interesting tools, including a great track cutter (will cut K track) and a number of cradles for holding locos for maintenance and the like; |

Several members on the Forum have often asked where to get realistic 1:87 scale WWII aircraft, well Artmaster ( website) were displaying several items at the Fair; Meanwhile Noch were displaying this layout which anyone can have a go at building as Noch will be issuing a book and DVD of How to Build this Layout due in February 2016; |

There are a couple of Forum members who are interested in modelling World War II, and there was a great model company displaying a lot of interesting WWII models, they have a number of company brand names including Artmaster mentioned elsewhere in this post, and the group website can be found here (http://www.das-kantoor.de) The BR52 has been done using a kit that comes to fit to any BR52. They also had some great submarine displays on show, sorry about the reflections but I hope you can see the quality of their offering; They also had an interesting model of a rail ferry; Edited by user 04 February 2016 00:24:08(UTC)

The Sisi locomotive is a rerun of one that appeared a couple of years ago, presumably as a match for the Kaiser loco. I al;ready have the former and hope to get the latter when it appears.

Thanks for the pictures Glen.
I'm a bit disappointed that the model shops seem to be reluctant to put up links to the PDF NI brochures that one can glean so much info from. Lokshop haven't posted links to any yet, not even the Marklin ones, and they have usually been one of the first, with links to the others as they become available. I have managed to find most of them (some I have posted links in here for), but it has been a bit of a chase to find them.
Auhagen is one of the ones I still have to track down.

Auhagen is one of the ones I still have to track down. Alan, You may not find Auhagen without paying, it was one of the companies that you had to pay for a Brochure even at the Toy Fair. It is always a Catch 22, why buy a brochure if you do not know what is for sale, and if you cannot see the brochure how do you know you may want to buy anything. By providing pdf brochures you dissuade people from paying for hard copy brochures. BR |

That is not a biased view and I was surprised just how comprehensive it was, it even had it's own refreshment area with waiter service, quite special. It is great to have the opportunity to share this with the Forum members. BR |

Cheers Thanks guys for your kind words, and I am glad you enjoyed the pictures. This year I was lucky enough to be invited to attend and I have enjoyed sharing the experience through this post. One of the best things about such a show is you get to see the huge diversity of models and products available, often new products which may not be available in the UK and other markets and it is nice to see the actual products in the flesh. A really great report Glenn. I've often considered going. One of the North American retailers runs a trip there with some surrounding rail trips. Perhaps the money I save on my one year ebay and ricardo ban will allow this.

Superb report - Thank you very much for taking the time to share it with us.
Perhaps we should have "postponed" the topic of our budgets and spending plans for 2016 as mine may already now be out of date!!!

We did a similar thing to your retailers proposed trip Tuesday to Sunday and every day something Marklin. We based ourselves in Munchen and we did several dealers and some great beer on day one, the Toy Fair on Wednesday then Marklin Museum a trip to our dealer and a trip to mega Train Shop ETS, then Friday we went to Hasn peter Porsche Traumwerk, Saturday and Sunday were reserved for various MRR swap meets and general enjoyment of Munchen and the surrounding locale. Very recommendable. |
