If I will buy it (very probable) it will pull the Orient Express blue coaches, even if dates are not that much matching. Currently I use several locos for pull it, but usually 37016 and 39023. |

Ouch, and I was thinking this year would be relatively cheap with largely number variants in Era I (except for the T18, which was on the wishlist already).

I hope the colors are like the 33183, except for the rods (I prefer the current darkened style).

I get the impression from various internet sites that the 2016 Toy Fair new items will be announced tomorrow 27 January. |

I really prefered it as in the AJCKids link mentioned above by Joan Vilarrúbia, without the red and with the blue less vivid... That image is below: I am undecided about it now. |

BR Hi Glenn, all, Yes, the Royal Blue King Ludwig S 3/6 (37186) is reasonably close. Märklin explicitly advertises the new S 2/6 as a potential addition to the 31806 set, so, it is safe to assume the color will be exactly the same as that set. To earlier points made; the 31806 set includes an S 3/6 with some red highlights, however, the new S 2/6 will not have red parts, and should resemble the B VI in that set which is solely Blue / Black with some gold highlights. For now, we will simply have to do with the pictures already included above, as there was no sample on display at the Spielwarenmesse... So, that will leave us (me included) in eager anticipation of the actual model. Cheers, |
Sander

Hello everybody.
It looks like a great model and I am quite sure it will sell very well.
Just wondering though (and please don't get me wrong on that) will this be also manufactured in China and South Korea, or this old story is over?
Cheers

I still hope it is like the 33183 which is different from both 37186 and 31806 although it looks similar (IMHO) compared to the picture of the M flyer. I am happy if no red parts will exist in this new livery. I also hope it has cabin interior painted like the 2 previous liveries. I will have no luck in this, but I would love it to have Telex in the rear. As you say, we need to wait until it is delivered. |
Best regards, Miguel

Hi Miquel, I also like most that nice blue color tone of 33183 from my S 3/6 collection. I have also 37186 S 3/6 and it's color is too bright blue for my taste. These S 2/6 models are nice and very detailed, but I'm not going to buy them. The reason for this is that they have only two driving axles vs. three in S 3/6's. In my opinion steam locos should have 3-8 driving axles. Good reason to limit my collection... Cheers, Janne |

As soon as my wife saw the picture, she couln't resist the painting at all. I told her the painting was fictional but she totally didn't care history and research.

Because I saw the price after and before login the same I posted here the question and got the confirmation the price is the same. I also sent an email to Lippe and argued that 39250 has same RRP and much lower price. The reply (arrived after the first answer to post) said that the price is based not only on RRP but also on the their cost (the price they buy to M). |
