Zinkpest was reported against Piko TRAXX and ES 64 U2 (vulgo Taurus) Hobby locos. It sounds as if those locos have been made before Piko opened their own factory in China.

I have several Piko hobby line locomotives (218, Taurus, Herkules, and 189) that I bought starting around 2013. I did a quick inspection of them last night after I read the initial post. I do not see any evidence yet of the issue. I am hoping that this issue goes back to older models. I discussion linked indicated that the TRAXX locomotive was purchased around 2008 and I also that someone found the same issue with a early taurus locomotive as well. Anyone know when Piko open their own factory in China?
