Joined: 20/01/2010(UTC) Posts: 125 Location: Thessaloniki, Greece		Until now I have found three Marklin silent pickup shoes Code E138079 that replaces E206370 which I think is the most common. Code E100032 which replaces 7164 and E144133 which I don't know which replaces. Does anybody know any more silent pickup shoes, or which is replaced by the E144133? Thank you

Joined: 23/12/2011(UTC) Posts: 426 Location: Northern California		I do not know of any others, but I believe the E144133 can be used as a replacement for the E225647. They fit the new style P8 and the BR 94, maybe more?

A "silent" pickup from Märklin is one that is less noisy than the regular pickups. Straight regular pickups are much more quiet than distorted regular pickups, so noise level varies a lot. The silent types have a slider made of thin metal in the shape of a bow. See Moritz' picture in post #3: the silent slider is mounted to the loco, the regular slider lies next to it for comparison.

It depends on the condition of the original pickup shoe, but I think, it is really woth! Especially, the Märklin silent pickup shoe is very cheap between 2€ and 3€, the pendant from Roco is between 8 and 12€ but the Roco isn't better. I will check, maybe, I can make a comparison video in the next days.
