Is there anyone in AUS I can post it to whom owns a CS2 for updating ?
I emailed the 'Marklin Dudes' Rick Sinclair and Curtis Jeung here in the US concerning my frozen MS2. They thought that my problem stemmed from the power supply or track box. I've replaced both and now it works fine.
However, I noticed that I still have some issues if I press down on the buttons at an angle (not straight down).
Hope this info helps.

We know there is a new CS coming? I haven't seen anything about it apart from rumours here that are not backed up with any documentation.
What basis do you have for claiming there is going to be a new CS next year?

Thanks Gary,
I won a new 60653 for on eBay AU$120. I'll see if this works, if not it would appear that i'll need a new track box.

They will reply "wait and see" to any question about rumoured new items, so this means nothing.
An MRR magazine asked the same question in 2012 and got the same answer.

Since 2012 we hear every year that there will be "a new CS3 next year" and sooner or later that prediction will become reality. How many threads do we need to discuss a rumour?
Would be cool to see a 602

- the numbers match so nicely.
But as Alan wrote: we know nuffin! We just speculate a lot.
Alan asked good questions.

An update on my issue.
It wasnt' the controller at all - the track box was fried.
Only bonus from this is now I have two functioning MS2's both now on SW2.5.
Now trains are running, kids are happy, and I'm starting a different trackplan, the fun begins anew.
Cheers,

I'm running on a version of MS2 which has the software version less than 2.5.
Today I unboxed my first MFX 36243 and ran successfully with MS2. I used the "Find" option to auto detect the loco.
Next time when I switched on MS2, all the pre configured loco list was deleted including the newly added 36243. Also the language got switched to Deutsche with message "keine loco". Looks like my MS2 underwent a factory reset. Damn! Any ideas why this happened?
