Hi,

I bought Märklin 55711 DB BR 218. I opened it's body today and found out it has a not very common decoder ESU LokSound XL 3.2 version. I was able to adjust the sound volume from a small screw in the decoder. I was also able to "install" or "map" four sound functions under F1, F2, F3 and F4 function buttons with my MS2 controller I use for these 1 gauge locos.

I can't find a user manual for this decoder from ESU's website. I would like to know which protocols this decoder supports, is max speed and acceleration and braking delay programmable and if there is possibilities to get even more sounds from it?

If any member has some information from this decoder version, please feel free to tell me more about it. I can only find versions ESU LokSound XL 3.0 , 3.5 and 4.0 from ESU's website. If this 3.2 has similarities to 3.0 or 3.5 version I could use maybe those decoders manuals.

Thanks in advance!

ThumpUp

Cheers,
Janne

I think there is not version 3.2 user manual available. I will try to follow 3.0 version instructions as my 3.2 decoder is from the year 2004. Cool

Do you have a Lokprogrammer available? If so I suspect you could upgrade the software to 3.5.
