Rail Away is a Dutch made TV series, running on Dutch TV for years, and rather popular by now. Numerous episodes about all sorts of countries have been made. On Youtube a lot of episodes can be found, some are HD,some are not, some have English subtitles, some have spoken English comments. It is a mix of trains, landscape, local people and history. This mix explains why a lot of people like to watch it,there is something for everyone. The male voice-over is civilised and the background music is peaceful. To give you an example: And one about The Netherlands, with a Swedish built steamer at the end. Note comments about commutertrains are wrong,it is not Material 54 but Material 64,nickname is not Hondenkop/Dogshead but Apenkop/Monkeyshead. Edited by user 19 June 2015 20:13:10(UTC)

The voiceover in the series is my friend Bob van der Houven, he has the best Dutch male voice I ever heard. Bob is also the (Dutch) voiceover in many, many Disney films and series, like DuckTals, Fineas and ferb, the evil doctor Doofenshmirtz...etc.
Without Bob, the Rail Away series would not have been the same. |

Without Bob, the Rail Away series would not have been the same. The proper voice can make all the difference, I cannot imagine the original Thomas Tank Engine series without Ringo Starr |

Well, can these be shown to kids? I am actually looking for some new series for my children. They have seen all the shows by Andy Yeatman on Netflix and since he doesn’t work for Netflix anymore we cannot find any more of his content over there. I really want my kids to watch some knowledgeable shows.
