I have the new LS Models DBAG/CNL and CD (Czech) WLABm173 sleepers on order. This morning, I read a post on the German DSO (Drehscheibe Online) where the poster mentions that these new models are apparently not manufactured by Modern Gala, but rather by another company called Run East Precision Model Company. The poster comments that he noted that the paint work was not up to the usual LS Models standards, but was still "relatively good". From what I understand, Modern Gala was the initial manufacturer for Heris/LSM/RailTop/ACME and Alphatrains and this relationship dates back to older productions by Sachsenmodelle. http://www.moderngala.com/html/english/profile.htmRun East's website http://www.run-east.com shows photos of some of the models that they have produced. Most seem to be Heris models, some of which were released under LSM or ACME labelling. I do not know whether these were made by Run East at the same time that most of the production was being done by Modern Gala or whether these Run East models were in fact Heris productions including re-issues of models originally made by Modern Gala after the split between Heris and the partner companies. The website also shows some models made for dealers like Olaerts (Belgium). It seems a little strange to me that LS Models would be producing models from other sources than Modern Gala, as LSM has branded it's line with the Modern Gala logo and could be considered the flagship line for that manufacturer. It will be interesting to see whether future models continue to come from Modern Gala or whether something major has occurred. Regarding the WLABm173, RailTop had released DBAG and CD models of this sleeping car. Based on photos available on the internet, it does not appear that the LSM models and the RailTop models are from the same moulds: RailTop: http://www.reisezugwagen...1_WLABmz173_Detaiil1.jpgLSM: http://www.reisezugwagen...oads/LS_46026_Detail.jpgRegards Mike C Edited by user 09 April 2015 05:50:45(UTC)

It may be a problem with production capacity. Other companies using Chinese subcontractors have had trouble with late releases or shortage of stock.
