Today, received a mail from Marklin as follows: "Dear Mr. Meiring,
We had a lot of trouble with the turnout motors in the past. That is true. But actual we have a new generation of these motors available. So from us you will get only this new generation, when you send us the damaged turnout motors for a check. Sincerely yours,
Your Maerklin Customer Service" Frank Mayer
So there you have it folks - another pack of non-working 74491's on its way to Marklin soon..... I'm not sure if its available yet at dealers.....seems M will only replace it with the "new generation" once they "check" the faulty ones...? Joe

I will remove my 18 mechanisms - pain - box them - more pain and send it back to M...... thanks, Joe
