Does anyone have any insight as to why a new GFP update is available (date 08.12.2014), but with a lower (older) version number v2.43?
The recent CS2 v3.8.1(11) package was accompanied by a GFP of v2.93. |

Hi, Peter,
USB updates always come a little bit later (if they come at all). 2.43 is the newest GFP available for USB updates. A CS2 connected to the Web will download 2.93.
Edit: The version coming through the Web update was downgraded to 2.43. |

Did you install it? Do you see 2.93 again after downgrading to 2.43?
I can only speculate that 2.43 is back because there are serious new bugs with 2.93. In that case the 2.93 should not show up again after the downgrade.
With 10 boosters you have to re-start the CS2 11 times during the upgrade because after each re-boot one booster will be upgraded. Maybe this is the reason why 2.93 was withdrawn.
This leaves the question: should people who successfully installed 2.93 downgrade to 2.43 or not? So far there is only speculation on Stummi's Forum.
Märklin just updated their website to read "Die aktuelle Software-Version für das Online-Update ist 3.8.1 (mit GFP 2.43)". No further information given. |

Grrrrrrr. The Long gone " no track processor available - you can't control anything with this unit" is back...... Thought it was just due to the updating process...but with this information I will 're-"update" as soon as I'm back home |

Hi all, After checking online with my cs2 for anything new update I got a message that I must downgrade to 2,43 from 2,93. And I accepted. After long period of waiting at 0% (about 30 mins) I took the decision to reboot my cs2. At the next boot, I got the message again about to downgrade again, and of course I accepted again , this time the downgrade was normal and I reboot my CS2. But after the reboot my cs2 is unusable because I got the warning about no track format processor available. Any idea anyone ? javascript:__doPostBack('forum$ctl03$PostReply','') Dgriman attached the following image(s): |

Thank you Ruben for your response ! I already done that, my CS2 sais 3.7.0 (7). Actually my steps so far was these : 1. My cs2 was 3.8.1 with 2,93, and I decide to see for any update, because I had problem with auto recognition of mfx locos. so I initiate the internet update and I receive the message to downgrade TFP to 2.43. 2. So I Downgrade to 2.43 from 2.93 as marklin provided from online update. Nothing happened, at 0% for 30 mins, 3. Turn off and boot again, CS2 sais I had to downgrade TFP to 2.43 without update procedure. Again nothing happened, 4. I update my CS2 from USB to 3.7.0, the problem with TFP remains the same. 5. Update again from Internet to 3.8.1, same story with TFP, 6. I update for 2nd time from usb to 3.7, but the story is the same. So far my cs2 sais " An update for TFP is running. Do not turn this unit off". The bar remains at 0% about 2:30 hours.... as all the others times. Edited by user 18 December 2014 01:52:35(UTC)

Hello and good night. I think your CS2 needs to go to Goppingen to fix this problem. But before, I hope you can try again with a _USB software update, but not 3.7.0. Try to install the cs2 2.0.1 update or 1.6.4 update by USB. Here it is the 2.0 update file. If you need 1.6.4 send me a message because it is 19 MB and can not be attached in this post with 2.0.

All working fine again for no obvious reason. Edited by user 21 December 2014 11:08:15(UTC)
