Does anyone have any info on the DR 132 Ludmilla? Running characteristics, sounds, motor type, detail...? I'm looking to increase my diesel fleet - the Ludmilla is going for around 150 Euro at Modellbahnshop-lippe. Any thoughts....Many thanks , Joe

Joe, About Marklin 36428. A short test in German. In general a positive vote for the money. Not impressive at slow speed. Details fine. Sound okay. Worth the money i would say. Note it is the DR version of around 1987,that is the version used in the DDR before the fall of the Berlin wall. |

I have the very similar 36421, with FX decoder and no sound. Excellent loco for what it cost. It's very heavy, great pulling power, smooth and quiet runner.
I believe the slow running is better than on the mfx version. So if mfx and sound are not important to you you can save money and get a better runner by buying a 36421 on ebay.
It's down to your preference. |

I just ordered the 36429, described as almost as new. Hope it has a metal body at least.
