A young man is constructing a humongous basement layout in Germany. One of the features is a working underground model of the controversial future Stuttgart railway station dubbed "Stuttgart 21". Below are some photos reflecting the initial status. Things have evolved since then, but it is nice to see the initial situation regarding the third rail solution for the concrete road bed and other refreshing modeling innovations as Plexiglas escalators and sparkling whine glasses serving as roof supports - see pix. Stuttgart 21, ah near hauptbahnhof there used to be protest, some supporting and some opposing.. Stuttgart is a beautiful city...been there thrice n that's how I got introduced to mrr n märklin in particular.thank you for sharing the link!
