Hi John. Thanks for links. Alberto is one great modeller.

Regarding mfx decoders i think the problem is one of quality of build as i have found ESU decoders in recent times to be unreliable. Given a good quality decoder whether mfx or fx along with the new soft sine motor placed in a well designed and built loco at a reasonable price then i think M has a good product. It is trying to get everything right in the one item that seems to be difficult.

The CS is not a bad controller if you dont need a booster and I wonder just how many actually need a booster. If I can run three lit trains and have several locos with lit coaches in the station on a 18' x 8' layout without the need of a booster then at present I am OK.
If however you are running lots of trains using computer control then a booster may well be required or if there are several operators running lots of trains then it would be essential.

It seems to be taking M longer to produce this booster than it takes a car manufacturer to produce a new model.
