Hi from thessaloniki.

Do you remember the waggons 4619, 4633 etc ?
How happy do we feel to see that the doors and the roofs can slide and open !
But Marklin didn't make the same thing with the waggons 48012, 48020, 47352, 47348, 4834 etc.
How can they produce so more waggons without this function ?

chris, christos563.

Currently, and as a modeller, I prefer that they DONT open. It´s a feature that I dont need, and so prefer a more simple (=cheaper) construction and less mecanical parts that can break, and hopefully better molded details.

Before, as a child playing with the carpetbahn, it was a nice feature, although I never really used it much.
Best regards

The opening roofs and sides were nice to play with when I was a child.

Today, I find that the interiors are not very well represented, so I prefer they stay shut on my wagons.

Maybe Marklin could make wagons with opening doors, sides and roofs in the "My World" range, and more accurate, but non-opening, wagons in the main range.

Hello!

When I was a child, I loved to play with our Märklin baggage car 4093, green livery.
Today we don't have it anymore (was sold).

Now, growed up I miss that car...

Was playful to open and close every time the doors (to the distress of my father RollEyes )...

In my opinion it's more realistic to leave it with that feature. Just to make that fun of open&close.

(yes, I also have a son with 7 years old at home) Laugh

Cheers,

Walter
