I didn't know they had a website, I do recommend anyone visiting paris to take a day and travel to this place quite a few Km away, their layout is very good but their large gauge train collection on the display cabinets is the best I have seen open to the public. Hours of dribbling guaranteed. After or before you can visit the castle nearby.

When I was in Paris in 2000, I visited the Rambolitrain museum and I enjoyed the visit very much.

Unfortunately the second floor of the museum caught fire in December 2002 .. since then .... they have patiently restored but some master pieces were definitely lost...

That is terribly sad, I don't remember well, I might have been there in 2006 or may be a bit before but I don't think it was as far back as 2002 and I was amazed to see what I saw there.
