Hi, Please show us a picture of........ This is a game topic, where the picture poster asks the next poster to show us a picture, defined by certain criteria. So I will now show a picture of a freight yard, and I ask the next poster to show a picture of a Class 89 German tank engine. Rules (can be modified by consent of the forum or the Webmaster): The picture can be model or real. If model, the picture must contain a Marklin item, but not necessarily be the main item. Any scale of model. If the topic stalls, anyone can jump in after 24 hours, and crank it up again. Here is a freight yard. OK, now someone please show us a picture of a German Class 89 tank engineregards Kimball Edited by moderator 03 February 2014 19:58:09(UTC)

3148 set??
Technically that isn't a 4026 coach, it would be a 3148 set (or whatever the set) coach, but I guess we can let you away with that.

I’m a little late to the show, but . . . . . As a reply to Posts 2 thru 5, I’ve attached three photos: 1st = 6 car consist with a 4026, 4052, 3X 4051s & a 4024 Diner; 2nd = 4026 cropped close-up (a bit grainy); and 3rd = 4024 DSG Diner w/furnished interior & people. They’re all metal versions from the 1960s-70s with LED inside lights. Pulled by a digitally converted 3039 E-110 loco of the same vintage, so it's my attempt to update some Marklin “Heavy-Metal”. Now for my request . . . . . How about a #43981 4-car set of Palatine-Pfalz Era I coaches & cars? An appropriate loco and any extras would also be nice. Here's a picture with both a V200 not in DB colours, and a loco painted in Tee colours - A Swiss Am 4/4 and DB Br218 painted in Tee colours, both 1 Gauge locos. And one of a Rheingold train (not my piccie BTW, I can't find what I did with them!) Bigdaddynz attached the following image(s):

Kimball – Thanks for your nice Palatine photos. As a return, here’s the Swiss TEE train “Bavaria”. It was used for Munich to Zurich business-class service during the 1970s. Marklin model numbers are in the attached photo titles. The loco is an Re 4/4. I’d like to see a freight consist with stake cars (any Era) carrying a creative variety of loads. As per the rules stated by Kimball, a Tee train has already been shown (no problems with showing another) and after other requests were made and answered, a request for a Rheingold train was made which I supplied. Now no one has yet shown a picture of what I requested and 24 hours since I posted is not yet up, so you can't make (as per Kimball's rules) another picture request, until my request is answered or 24 hours is up. Wait your turn! /BDNZ Regards -- Richard DumbGuy attached the following image(s): |

That will require you to do some research. Good luck! To clarify, most long term forum members will know that the original part of my layout is based on the trackplan shown in a particular year's Marklin catalog. Now I don't expect anyone to have pictures that they have taken of my layout (near impossible, since not many forum members have visited - 4 by my count), but I know that several other members have built the same layout, so pictures of their version of the layout are most welcome, or failing that pictures of the layout from the said catalog are welcome.

I may be violating again the rules-of-the game, but here’s a series of pics for a 1920s-30s Rheingold. I’ve regrettably lost the credits for the old-time photos. As before, Marklin model numbers are in the photo titles. I’m probably posting too often here, so I’ll just sit back now & watch for a while – it’s an enjoyable topic. My “I’d like to see” request is still for some creatively loaded stake cars. My apologies for going out-of-turn.Regards -- Richard DumbGuy attached the following image(s): |

Don't know if you would call these creative, but here's some stake cars with pipes as a load. The cars are from 2 Marklin 46220 freight car sets and I brought the pipe loads off our local auction site Trademe. In the last picture, you can see a part of one of the 3 stake cars with large pipes from a Marklin set - sorry I don't have a picture of the complete set (I should go and take one! - have added newly taken picture). And, I found my Rheingold pictures that I was looking for! Edited by user 20 October 2013 07:23:18(UTC)

Hi all,
As I see it, multiple postings on the one request, may create a confusion. For example, the first person who loads a pic of a loaded stake car or cars, has the next request.
So, when another person subsequently posts a pic of loaded stake car or cars, the new (next) request becomes lost or forgotten. That subsequent poster has no right of request.
My idea to simplify the topic, may make it uninteresting, or it may restrict it somewhat. But I believe we ought to restrict answers to a request, to ONE person only. What do you think?

Kimball – I also agree. A couple of my earlier posts didn’t follow your well-crafted rules and appear to have caused some confusion, for which I apologize. As for my stake-car-load request, I’m interested in multiple responses over some time. That’s an interest that probably violates your intent in starting this topic.
While I appreciate the responses made here, my request would probably be better made as a new separate topic. I’ll start that new topic in the next day or so.
Congratulations on starting this thread, Kimball. It’s interesting and I’ll continue to follow it. Please don’t change your rules! They should serve nicely as they are. I apologize again for my earlier misinterpretation of them.
Thanks -- Richard

This is a picture of a Br44 and 5 of the 10 stake cars with pipes from the Marklin 26558 set. I haven't fitted the stakes, because Marklin in their wisdom made the box in such a way that you can't fit the stakes to the wagons and then expect to be able to fit them back in the box. Duh! Here's an ICE 3 train on a bridge (and if that should not qualify as a bridge, I also added a picture of a BR 628 on a bridge). I'd like to see a train (or car) with a DIY load. H0 attached the following image(s): |
