Joined: 10/02/2006(UTC) Posts: 3,997		Since the Merkur stuff does not seem to be available any more, I am wondering if anyone has tried the Noch 99150 or 99160 5m role of ballast foam? If so what is your opinion? Ang good close-up images available?

Mixed feelings about it. + easy to used + silent operation - not a very realistic appearance - parts for switches are quite expensive - difficult to built superelevation in curves Eventually I prefered to ballast my tracks on my present lay-out. Its not that difficult, is a lot cheaper and it looks much better, Hope this is of some help. Rinus
