Ian,
I am surprised that you did not buy the white banana van, although this one also looks in quite poor condition.

Ian,
This one seems to have survived the last 77 years very well. Looking at the photos, are the buffers original? Either way, great shape!

Hi Brandon,
Thanks, yes if you look in the 1936 catalog, that's original buffers and coupling system.

Hi Ian
Especially like the 63 van.
Not so sure on the newer version though.
Anyway when you have BW tracks built are we to see a grand banana train and if so what will be the lok of choice to pull 109 wagons

Hi Ian,
I guess it is #110. A very nice model.
I think I'll try to find one or two, unless you have "vacuumed" the market.
I'm a "bit behind you" to put it with an understatement in my total count of banana wagons, being at 10 % of your number and furthermore only of two types 4735.024 with marking SJ and Dole, but based on SBB wagon 4735, and 4672 with marking SJ and Chiquita. I have 3 "Dole" and 8 "Chiquita" and a couple of 47331 could be nice as well.

She is scratchbuilt using a Hornby chassis and roof, so I hope she is a "one of".

I don't think so.
I think it came out of an existing/recent starter pack.
Any experts out there that can verify that?

Maerklin already made the single car 47331 (see above) as well as the generic Interfrigo and Migros versions of this car type. Have any of you checked out the new Banana cars from ACME?

I didn't doubt you!
It's a neat little set, even if you aren't bananarama-ing. I was pleasantly surprised by the overall detail and the artwork.
Marklin should start doing these small 'theme' packs again.
