I am guessing that there is a lot of work going on at Maerklin related to getting ready for the Messe, so there may be a slight delay in replying to emails.

Was your unit bought from Europe or was it bought in the USA? If you bought it in Europe, you can send it back to Goeppingen:

Gebr. Märklin & Cie. GmbH
Reparaturservice
Stuttgarter Str. 55-57
D-73033 Göppingen
E-Mail: Service(at)maerklin.de

If you have not prearranged the shipment with them, make sure that you enclose a letter explaining the problem and a copy of the original invoice.
I think it probably is a good idea to wait for them to respond.

Alternately, you can try one of the authorized repair centres like:

Märklin Bw Osnabrück GbR
Thomas Fricke
Lipper Str. 33
49078 Osnabrück
Telefon. 0541-40669363
Fax. 0541-40669347
E-mail: maerklin-bw-osnabrueck(at)t-online.de
Website: www.maerklin-bw-osnabrueck.de

Regards

It would be interesting to know if it is just a matter of slow response, or if they have reverted to their "old style" (non-)responsiveness.

Anyone else having any fresh experience? Do they answer at all nowadays? This has, as some of you may remember, been "on" and "off" at different times in history.

lets hope they are ON. Charles Sharpe had the same symptons as discussed here in Sep-Oct last year and they were ON.
